SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL NOTES
1. ALL APPLICABLE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE IN PLACE PRIORTO ANY GRADING OPERATION AND/OR INSTALLATION OF PROPOSED STRUCTURES ORUTILITIES.
2. SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES ON THIS PLAN SHALL BECONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARDS FOR SOIL EROSION ANDSEDIMENT CONTROL IN NEW JERSEY.
3. APPLICABLE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE LEFT IN PLACE UNTILCONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED AND/OR THE AREA IS STABILIZED.

7. ALL CRITICAL AREAS SUBJECT TO EROSION WILL RECEIVE A TEMPORARY SEEDING INCOMBINATION WITH STRAW MULCH AT A RATE OF 2 TONS PER ACRE, ACCORDING TO THENEW JERSEY STANDARDS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ROUGH GRADING.
8. THE SITE SHALL AT ALL TIMES BE GRADED AND MAINTAINED SUCH THAT ALLSTORMWATER RUNOFF IS DIVERTED TO SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROLFACILITIES.
9. ALL SEDIMENTATION STRUCTURES WILL BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED ON A REGULARBASIS AND AFTER EVERY STORM EVENT.
10. A CRUSHED STONE, TIRE CLEANING PAD WILL BE INSTALLED WHEREVER A CONSTRUCTIONACCESS EXISTS. THE STABILIZED PAD WILL BE INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE STANDARDFOR STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ACCESS.
11. ALL DRIVEWAYS MUST BE STABILIZED WITH 2 ½" CRUSHED STONE OR SUBBASE PRIOR TOINDIVIDUAL LOT CONSTRUCTION.
12. PAVED AREAS MUST BE KEPT CLEAN AT ALL TIMES.13. ALL CATCH BASIN INLETS WILL BE PROTECTED ACCORDING TO THE CERTIFIED PLAN.14. ALL STORWMATER DRAINAGE OUTLETS WILL BE STABILIZED, AS REQUIRED, BEFORE THE
DISCHARGE POINTS BECOME OPERATIONAL.15. ALL DEWATERING OPERATIONS MUST DISCHARGE DIRECTLY TO A SEDIMENT FILTER AREA.
THE SEDIMENT FILTER SHOULD BE COMPOSED OF A SUITABLE SEDIMENT FILTER FABRIC(SEE DETAIL). THE BASIN MUST BE DEWATERED TO NORMAL POOL WITHIN 10 DAYS OFTHE DESIGN STORM.
16. NJSA 4:24-39, ET SEQ. REQUIRES THAT NO CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY BE ISSUED BEFOREALL PROVISIONS OF THE CERTIFIED SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN HAVEBEEN COMPLIED WITH FOR PERMANENT MEASURES. ALL SITE WORK FOR THE PROJECTMUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE DISTRICT ISSUING A REPORT OF COMPLIANCE AS APREREQUISITE TO THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY BY THE MUNICIPALITY.
17. MULCHING IS REQUIRED ON ALL SEEDED AREAS TO INSURE AGAINST EROSION BEFOREGRASS IS ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE EARLIER VEGETATION COVER.
18. OFFSET SEDIMENT DISTURBANCE MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL CONTROL MEASURES TO BEDETERMINED BY THE EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR.
19. A COPY OF THE CERTIFIED SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN MUST BEMAINTAINED ON THE PROJECT SITE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
20. THE GLOUCESTER SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT SHALL BE NOTIFIED 48 HOURS PRIOR TOANY LAND DISTURBANCE.
21. ANY CONVEYANCE OF THIS PROJECT PRIOR TO ITS COMPLETION WILL TRANSFER FULLRESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE CERTIFIED PLAN TO ANY SUBSEQUENTOWNERS.

BARRIERS: SOLID BOARD FENCES, SNOW FENCES, BURLAP FENCES, CRATE WALLS, BALES OF HAY ANDSIMILAR MATERIAL CAN BE USED TO CONTROL AIR CURRENTS AND SOIL BLOWING.
CALCIUM CHLORIDE: SHALL BE IN THE FORM OF LOOSE, DRY GRANULES OR FLAKES FINE ENOUGH TOFEED THROUGH COMMONLY USED SPREADERS AT AR ATE THAT WILL KEEP SURFACE MOIST BUT NOTCAUSE POLLUTION OR PLANT DAMAGE. IF USED ON STEEPER SLOPES, THEN USE OTHER PRACTICES TOPREVENT WASHING INTO STREAMS OR ACCUMULATION AROUND PLANTS.
STONE: COVER SURFACE WITH CRUSHED STONE OR COARSE GRAVEL.
SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MARK THE LOCATIONS OF ANY FUTURE INFILTRATION AREAS. THESE AREASSHALL BE PROTECTED FROM COMPACTION AND HEAVY VEHICLE DISTURBANCE THROUGHOUTCONSTRUCTION. EXCAVATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO REMOVE SURFACE HARDPAN AND ACHIEVE FINALINFILTRATION BED BOTTOM GRADES. ONCE HARDPAN IS REMOVED, STAKE THE PERIMETER OF THEPROPOSED INFILTRATION AREAS TO PROTECT THESE AREAS FROM COMPACTION AND SILTATION.
UPON COMPLETION OR TEMPORARY CESSATION OF EARTH DISTURBANCE ACTIVITIES OR ANY STAGETHEREOF, THE PROJECT SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY STABILIZED WITH THE APPROPRIATE TEMPORARY ORPERMANENT STABILIZATION AS OUTLINED BELOW.
1. CONTRACTOR MUST ORDER A UTILITY MARK OUT USING THE NEW JERSEY ONE CALL SYSTEM. SITEUTILITIES MUST BE FIELD LOCATED AND MARKED BEFORE THE START OF ANY SITE WORK, INCLUDINGALL PRIVATE UTILITIES.
2. CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY OWNER, ENGINEER, AND GLOUCESTER SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT AMINIMUM OF 72 HOURS PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION. START OF CONSTRUCTION NOTICE MUSTBE COMPLETED IN WRITING AND EITHER MAILED TO GLOUCESTER COUNTY SOIL CONSERVATIONDISTRICT 14 PARKE PLACE BLVD, SUITE B, SEWELL, NJ 08080 AND/OR EMAILED [email protected].
3. ALL EARTH DISTURBANCE ACTIVITIES SHALL PROCEED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWINGSEQUENCE AND ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATION. EACH STAGE SHALL BE COMPLETEDBEFORE ANY FOLLOWING STAGE IS INITIATED. CLEARING AND GRUBBING SHALL BE LIMITED ONLY TOTHOSE AREAS DESCRIBED IN EACH STAGE.

5. BALLED AND BURLAPPED PLANT MATERIAL SHALL HAVE A SOLID BALL
OF EARTH OF MINIMUM SPECIFIED SIZE AND HELD IN PLACE
SECURELY BY BURLAP AND A STOUT TWINE OR ROPE. BROKEN OR
LOOSE BALLS WILL BE REJECTED.
6. STAKE LOCATIONS OF PLANT MATERIALS BEFORE EXCAVATING PLANT
PITS FOR REVIEW IN FIELD BY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.
7. COORDINATE LOCATIONS OF PLANTINGS WITH UTILITIES. OBTAIN

1. WORK CONSISTS OF INSTALLING QUICK CONNECT HOSE BIBS,
