It was almost a party that wasn‟t, but with the help of Susie Smith, a fun event occurred. Over 80 campers and guests came. The theme was Country Christmas and folks were „countried‟ up in their hats and gear. The tables were decorated with poin- settias set in cowboy hats with boot glitter and candy kisses scattered around. The evening opened with cocktails and hor d‟oeuvres (including some very spicy wings). Jack Milks provided the menu of his tri tip or chicken with au gratin potatoes, mixed veggies and rolls and cake for dessert. Each table had bottles of red and white wine compliments of Terry and Susie Smith. Entertainment was provided by Just 4 Kicks, a fun country band. Folks had a good time line danc- ing and two stepping. Thanks so much to the Sun- burys and the Smiths for puttin‟ on a fun shin dig. BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF CHRIS AND LYNNE SUNBURY

Chris was born March 12, 1955 in Los Angeles, to Harry and Vivian Sunbury (fellow SOB's). They moved to Ladera Heights in 1958. In 1962, they moved to To-panga Canyon for 2 years. It was fun being a kid in the hills. They moved to San Gabriel in 1964 and Chris at-tended San Marino High School. He played football and lettered in wrestling. first job was at Anthony's Spaghetti house at 15 yrs old. At 17 she went to work at the Sears catalog store (remember those?) At 19, became a gro-cery checker for El Rancho markets, and at 21 went to Ralphs. Chris and Lynne met at the Costa Mesa store in 1979 and married in 1981. They started buying rental property in 1986 with a condo. In 1990 they bought their fourplex. Those were lean times. Lynne retired in 2006. They joined the Elks in 2006 when Harry passed, originally to keep mom (Vivian) active with the campers. They found that they enjoyed it as much as she did. They have met some wonderful people at the Elks. Today, the Sunburys live in Huntington Beach. They have a beautiful niece and nephew-in-law in Kentucky with 4 children. They visit every summer. They also have 3 toy fox terriers, Sparky, Max and Lexi and a cat named Gigi.
