What is Camp Whittle?Everyone feels grief when a loved one dies – including

children. Age affects how children understand, express

and cope with loss and grief.

Camp Whittle is a professionally directed day of

fun and healing for children who have experienced

the death of a loved one. The camp provides a safe

environment where children can connect and share

with others who have experienced a similar loss.

Where is Camp Whittle and when does it take place?Saturday, October 5, 2013

    8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Wingate Baptist Church

    109 East Elm Street

    Wingate, NC 28174

grade who live in Union, Anson, Mecklenburg or Stanly

counties. Previous association of the child’s loved one

with Hospice of Union County or Hospice of Anson

    County is not required.

How much does Camp Whittle cost? Thanks to the generous support of our communiy,

there is no cost to the family for children to attend

    Camp Whittle.
