Counselors, beware Camper Revenge! • e Sky Zone trampoline field trip, for all grades, is set for Aug. 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. e cost is $20. Pack a lunch for campers to eat back at BSAC. Important: A waiver is required. • e Busch Gardens field trip, for grade 4 through seniors, is scheduled for Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. e cost is $60 (without annual pass) and $15 (with pass). Send money to buy lunch and snack to eat at the park. • e CQ Tactical laser tag field trip, for grade 3 through seniors, is set for August 3, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. e cost is $25. Pack a lunch from home to eat back at BSAC. A waiver is required. A BSAC shout-out to Sidney O’Sullivan, a USF student studying elementary education. “I love working with children,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot about different teaching strategies, attention-getters, and things that work and don’t work. It’s solidified for me that this is what I want to do with my life.” A good counselor, she added, “needs to be balanced, knowing the right way to disciplne and having fun with the kids.” S ummer is winding up, with only one week leſt for Camp BSAC, and it’s been quite a ride! “We enjoyed this summer with our returning campers, meetng new campers, and making memories together that will last a lifetime,” said BSAC Youth Director Shelby Johnson. “We were pretty full all summer and the field trips and activites were a big hit.” Time Warp Week featured games reminiscent of times past, including Wiffle Ball, Capture the Flag, Wall Ball, and Ultimate Frisbee. Away from BSAC, our campers one again earned kudos for their field-trip decorum. e Camp BSAC group that went to the Tampa Bay Rays game on July 26 was featured multiple times on the Tropicana Field scoreboard! e occasional rainstorms and scorching heat didn’t hold back campers, who took advantage of BSAC’s awesome facilities with dips in the 50-meter pool and special activities in the indoor gym. Celebrations for summer’s end started in full swing, with pizza parties, dance parties, ice cream sundaes, and more. For a job well done, counselors and lifeguards ended the week with an aſter-hours pool party. Apply and Register B SAC is hiring, for its newest initiative, the BSAC Aſter-School Experience, set to open at Kingswood, Lithia Springs, and Stowers elementary schools, and Barrington and Mann middle schools.
