Welcome toTREACHERY CAMPING GROUND

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

All new arrivals must check in at Office before proceeding to camping area and camp fees are to be paid in advance.

Groups (e.g. clubs, schools etc) can only be accommodated with PRIOR BOOKING. Supervisors must be nominated and accept responsibility for their group. Groups must arrive and set up before nightfall.

The gate at the entrance to the property is closed and locked at 7 p.m. On Fridays and the Thursday prior to Easter it will remain open until 9 p.m. FOR BOOKINGS ONLY.

Please check current office hours on arrival as no wood, gas, ice or change for showers will be available outside these hours.

Dogs and other domestic pets ARE NOT PERMITTED in this camp ground.

SMALL cooking fires only are permitted. DEFINITELY no bonfires. THE ONLY WOOD TO BE BURNED MUST BE PURCHASED AT OFFICE. Burning green timber from shrubs and trees or logs left as animal habitat is not allowed. People leaving bones, broken glass, cans etc. in fires will be asked to leave.

Showers run on a push button system for 4 minutes.

Fireworks will not be tolerated. Anyone caught with fireworks will be reported to the police and blacklisted from the camp.

Our water is from a bore and although it is considered suitable for drinking you may prefer rainwater. Opposite Beach Lodge are two rainwater tanks with a tap. This water is precious so please only use for drinking purposes.

You will be supplied with garbage bags as frequently as required. Bags are available from either the office or are carried by staff on the quad. All garbage is to be placed in these bags which should then be placed in the BINS PROVIDED.

Noise likely to upset or disturb other campers WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Noise from radios, tape decks, CD players, drums etc must be confined to your own area and must cease by 10.30 p.m.

Enjoy your drinks, but please remain within the confines of your own camp. Persons annoying or upsetting other campers WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

Treachery Camp is patrolled regularly for your safety and to ensure the implementation of the above requirements.

The dune at the beach end of the camp is the subject of dune regeneration. Please avoid walking on the dune by using the track to the left of the dune.

Goannas, possums, snakes, dingos and birds inhabit Treachery Camp. Please do not leave garbage or food unattended and please DO NOT feed the animals particularly the dingos because whilst there are dingos in the area, marsupials and other ground dwelling mammals stay away.

No refunds are given for early departure at any time.Generators are strictly PROHIBITED in the camp.All deposits are non transferable or refundable.

People found vandalizing Treachery property will be asked to leave immediately and blacklisted from the camp.

Tim’s Cafe is open every weekend September to May and every day during School holiday periods. Good coffee, Burgers and daily baked treats
