AND ANGLES

LONG SHOT-This shot shows an entire object or human body, while the background is complementing the entire picture in other words it contains landscape but gives the viewer a more specific idea of setting. It is called a long shot because the camera is placed far away to capture a large area of view. - This particular picture , is showing the whole object and the background is defining the image as well.

EXTREME LONG SHOT-Extreme long shot

contains a large amount of landscape. There will be very little detail visible in the shot, it's meant to give a general impression rather than specific information. ( i.e. a town, buliding , a city, a movies opening scene etc.

But this shot on the right is giving great amount of detail of the building and its surrounding landscape

This picture on the right is showing basically the whole view of the water park, the rides and children in further background are also seen. This extreme long shot, is taken from more then a mile away. This is a long shot

of Learning Alliance pre-school, it is showing the building and its surrounding areas, such as tress in great detail.

FULL SHOT

- Contains a complete view of the character, from the head to toe.

- This is a alteration of a long shot, as it also shows the full object- In this image the

dog is the object where its whole body is shown.

MEDIUM SHOT

• A mid shot shows a object or a character from the waist up. From this shot, viewers can see the characters' faces more clearly as well as their interaction with other characters. It basically shows the interaction or relation between two or more people.

This shot is an example of medium shot as it is showing the interaction between the students and it is specifically taken above the mid waists .

CLOSE UP This shows very little

background, and concentrates on either a face, or a specific detail of a scene. Everything else is just a blur in the background. This shot magnifies the object and shows the importance of things, be it words written on paper, or the expression on someone's face.

This picture is showing the schools logo, while the background is blur and thus the logo stands out even more focusing more onto it.

CLOSE UP SHOTS

EXTREME CLOSE UP• An extreme version of the close up,

generally magnifying beyond what the human eye would experience in reality. Giving each and every detail, of an object.

MACRO SHOT- EXTREME CLOSE UP

Macro shots have tremendous photographic appeal as they get us up-close-and-personal with a wide variety of subjects, be they insects or flowers or intricate details of much larger objects.

HIGH ANGLE

It is a camera angle that looks down upon a subject. A character shot with a high angle will look vulnerable or small. Such picture is generally taken to illustrate the perspective of a particular object.

HIGH ANGLE SHOT

EYE LEVEL SHOT A fairly neutral

shot; the camera is positioned as though it is a human actually observing a scene, so that e.g. actors' heads are on a level with the focus.

LOW ANGLEThese increase height and give a sense of

speeded motion as the camera angle is looking up.
