“Camera Buying Project”

A DSLR camera is a digital camera that uses a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to

direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera. A point and shoot

camera is a film or digital camera in which the focus and exposure is entirely automatic. You aim

and press the button; the camera does the rest. I prefer a point and shoot camera because it has

better quality and is easier to use.

The first digital camera that I would prefer would be a Canon brand. This brand I believe is the

best because of the quality the cameras have. Everyone seems to really love this brand of camera

because they don’t have as many or even any problems with them as other brands. The second

best is the Nikon brand. Most people love these cameras because they have good package deals

that come with the camera that at other places you would have to spend extra. The third best

would be Samsung brand. Most people don’t like this brand because a lot of things happen to the

cameras. They aren’t built very well. They don’t have good quality that most people prefer in a

camera.

There are five different types of point and shoot cameras. There is the fun and basic for people

who just want basic pictures of things, long zoom is for people who like to watch games or

things that are far away, low light has a light for dark roomed areas that would be dark without,

wireless is a camera that only takes batteries for easier use for kids, waterproof is for people who

like to swim and take pictures under the water and not ruin it. Out of these five different types of

point and shoot cameras I would chose the long zoom one because I like to watch sports, so the

quality and extra zoom that camera has would work the best for my style of photography.

If price was not an object, the camera I would buy would be the Canon EOS 5D, because it has

the long zoom on it and has really good quality. If I had $200 to spend on a camera I would buy a

Panasonic Lumix 12.1 MP because it may not have the bigger extended lens for the long zoom

but it still has the long zoom quality.

Movie Mode (Black) is rated five out of five stars. The downfalls of this camera is that when

people pick it up to look at it they think it’s cheap and not very good because its plastic. The

viewfinder isn’t the best. The manual controls are limited. People consider this camera to new

photographers or pros that want a light weight camera on hand.

The best stores to buy the best cameras from are the technology stores like best buy for example

because they keep the cameras safe and have the best service and help you need to find the right

camera that is best for you. Stores you don’t normally want to buy a camera from are places like

Wal-Mart where people can damage them. The stores that looked the best for the cameras I was

looking at were Best Buy, Target, and Meijer. These were the best for me because they are in

close range and have decent prices.
