CALPEX® Uno and Duo heating

pipes are now available in polyu-

rethane foam expanded with

PENTANE-gas. The thermal

conductivity of the foam has

been tested and certified by the

technical institute IMA, Dresden.

Proving an outstanding

thermal insulation value of

�50=0.0255 W/mK.

What really matters

The polyurethane foam used

as insulating material in CALPEX®

consists of the components

polyol and isocyanate, which

are originally in the liquid state.

If these two components are

mixed, the chemical reaction

produces our efficient CALPEX®

insulation. The thermal insulation

characteristic of the foam is

decisively influenced by the type

of gas and the cell diameter.

The principle here is: the finer

the cells of the finished foam,

the better the distribution of the

blowing agent.
