Linscheid resigned because of ill health . He had held his position longer than any teachers' college president in the state and longer than any president of a teachers' college of the American Association of Teachers' Colleges. Homer Carl Helins, '20pharm, died May 22 at the Will Rogers hospital in Oklahoma City after a six-week illness with heart disease . He is survived by his wife and daughter, both of Okla- lioma City .     Dr . Richard D. Roys, '35ba, '39med, has been

    elected president of the Seattle Academy of Sur-

    gery for 1949-50. Mrs. Roys, the former Ruth

    Shannon, '36ed, was secretary to the Counselor of

    Women at the University prior to her marriage .

    The Roys have two children, David, 10, and De-

    nise, 2. They live in Seattle, Washington .

    Dr . W. W. Cotton, '35med, has moved to Po-

    teau and opened an office there. He and Dr. R. W.

    Lowrey, '366s, '36med, are building a new clinic

    in Poteau which will be opened the latter part of
