In response to the market demand for collateral-free
products, Agribank designed and launched the Emerging
Retail Financing Product (ERFP) in 2015. Agribank
received an overwhelming feedback during the trial
phase and has now refined the product to meet the needs
of the full-time farmers. We now invite applications from
previously disadvantaged Namibian full-time farmers
Loan amounts: Maximum exposure per applicant is N$1
million at varying Interest rates depending on each
business case.
Loans will be granted on the basis of the following
conditions:
- Successful completion of a mandatory training
program in the production, management and
marketing of the commodity or commodities for
which the loan is being requested.
- Applicants will be attached to a Bank approved
mentor for the duration of the loan facility.
- Animal Husbandry
Livestock farming (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, etc.)
- Poultry Farming
Raising birds such as chickens, ducks, turkeys and
geese
- Agronomy & Horticulture
Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sorghum, maize,
pearl millet/mahangu, etc.
Target Sectors
- Fodder production
To supply feed to livestock
Requirements:

• Comprehensive business plan (business plan guide
available at all Agribank Regional Branches and
website and must include;
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae
Qualifying criteria:
• Previously disadvantaged emerging Namibian full-
time farmer
• Minimum age 21
• Primary agricultural purposes
- Namibia Identify Documents
- Marriage Certificate (if any)
- Income and Expenditure statement
- Cash-flow projections for at least 36 months
