The symposium will be held at the San Diego Convention Center on Wednesday and Thursday, September 30 October 1, 2020. We are soliciting presentations to be given during the symposium through this call for abstracts and accepting proposals from all segments of industry and the public sector: manufacturers, consultants, government, suppliers, regulators, legislators, media, and education. The following categories will be considered. Other relevant topics are welcome: Advanced Sampling Methods Advanced Water Monitoring Techniques Air Monitoring New fence line and/or portable equipment technology Air Quality Case Studies in Sustainability Case Studies in Sustainable Air Compliance in Environmental Justice Communities Case Studies working with technology vendors, regulatory agencies and the community to clean the air Climate Change Emerging Contaminants/Chemicals Energy Storage Technology Developments Environmental Justice Exide A case study HazWaste Generator Regulations Health & Safety Lessons Learned Health Risk Assessment Guidelines Implementation of innovative compliance strategies Implementation of innovative permitting strategies Indirect Source Rules Who is affected and how? Industrial Storm Water Case Studies from Los Angeles/San Diego (TMDLs, IGP, Enforcement) OSHA Injury Prevention Programs Prop 65 Risk Reduction Strategies and Case Studies Successful demonstration of emission reduction technologies (stationary and mobile sources) Sustainable Sourcing and Green Products UST/AST Tank Requirements Waste Minimization and Recycling Water Reuse and Recycling Presentations will be selected based on overall quality, relevance to today’s issues, practical application to California’s legislative and regulatory climate, adherence to the theme, and/or general interest to membership. Priority selection will be given to IEA/CMTA members. The 75-minute sessions consist of 2 to 3 individual presentations with a 15-minute Q&A to follow. IEA is unable to pay honoraria or travel expenses. To submit a presentation, please complete the form on page two. Submittals that do not adhere to the format will not be considered. Call for papers will be accepted until May 29, 2020. DEADLINE May 29, 2020

You are invited to submit an abstract for the 36th Annual Environmental Training Symposium and

Conference presented by the Industrial Environmental Association and the California Manufacturing and
