Back by popular demand - Clarke & Tracie Paris are back with their new presentation that corresponds with their new book Daddy I Worry About You. Dynamic presenter Off. Julie Werhnyak gives a must not miss presentation on her on-duty neck stabbing and the necessary skills needed for survival. Her partner, Sgt. Karin Betz, was on duty at the time and will talk about her emotions of hearing the call for help go out. Dr. Catherine Butler Ph.D. will be discussing the signs of First Responder Exhaustion, how we can recognize the signs in ourselves and in our peers. Sgt. Susan Feenstra, Sacramento PD, will help us navigate EAP and insurance systems to obtain the needed help for coworkers. Then her husband, Jim Hyde, joins her to talk about First Responder Trends and Career & Family Survival. Retired San Francisco Sgt. Ed Anzore will present on Job Burnout, a topic that every peer supporter needs. Retired dispatcher and peer supporter Mary Lasher presents on ” When Your World Falls Apart – Will Peer Support be There?” Chris Lomanto former firefighter and police officer/detective will discuss a career of trauma. Living life to the fullest only to wake up one day and realize he hadn’t lived at all. CalFire peer support team members will give a presentation on the peer support response to the Valley Fire burnover of four Firefighters. This is just a sampling of confirmed presentations.
