◦(b) Funding provided for the purposes of this article shall be used for any of the following purposes: standards-based curriculum development, development of a sequence of courses in selected pathways, program articulation in grades 7 to 14, inclusive, material and equipment, student support, work-based learning experiences, and professional development.

Use of FundsUse of Funds

A .20% FTE has been allowed for project coordination – no other salary exceptions

No other coordination salaries are allowable – such as Cal-HOSA advisors, middle school JUMP advisors, work based learning advisors, evaluation and data collection personnel, community liaisons, nor other district or site personnel

Stipends for integrated CTE standards-based curriculum development, development of a sequence of courses, and program articulation in grades 7 to 14 are not extra duty pay based on a monthly formula.

development, not meetings in which products are not evident. Pathway coordination activities should be accomplished through the pathway coordinator as supported by the grant

Equipment and textbook purchases should be for new pathway start up or enhancement of an existing pathway. This grant clearly does not allow supplanting

Supplemental books and resources not found in other classrooms as appropriate to the pathways are great and allowable

existing curriculum and may require minimal material purchases

Cal-HOSA does not have curriculum but some supplemental learning materials are available
