Summer Research Experience (SRE)
• 8-week summer program that exposes community college students to research
• Selected participants placed in a lab with a faculty mentor
• Students earn a $5,000 stipend• Students submit a research paper and present
their findings at the Summer Research Symposium
• Research experience provides CSUF recognition, eases transfer transition and exposure to other STEM majors
