Initial Focus Areas include:

Undergraduate degree completion program options focused on returning students and welcoming back students with strong CSU campus connections

Baccalaureate degree programs in high needs areas such as business, nursing, communications and psychology

Masters programing for mid career professionals

Certificate programs in core professional service and training areas

Campus and faculty retain academic control of program Academic program participation is voluntary Campuses are responsible for the review, modification, and approval of 

course/program requirements, curriculum, and coursework materials. All Faculty are paid either the Special Sessions Faculty Pay Schedule or

other basis according to the current collective bargaining agreement within the self-support unit of the campus

Course/Program cancellation is the joint responsibility of Cal State Online and the campus.– Individual instructors cannot cancel a course/program. – Once a course/program has begun, it is the mutual obligation of the

campus and Cal State Online to insure that every student who begins a course/program can complete their educational requirements.

Complete the review process on campus for fully online programs

Chancellor’s Office (Chris Mallon’s Office) letter of support for your WASC application

“WASC”(Western Association of Schools & Colleges) approvals to offer a program fully online
