The number of centers Fill in the corresponding value according to the number of userrsquos

central servers

Center IP address and port If there is only 1 central server please configure and fill in the

corresponding column (ldquomain center IP and portrdquo) with its IP and port and leave ldquo1st center IP

and port ~ 4th center IP and portrdquo blank

If there are multiple central servers please configure the ldquo1st center IP address and port ~

x center IP address and portrdquo one by one X is a number of the central server Please fill the

correct IP address and port in the corresponding column and leave ldquothe main central IP and

portrdquo blank

Data Bits Setting the serial data bit option values are 7 and 8

Parity Setting parity bit of serial the option values are NONE ODD AND EVEN

Stop bits Setting the stop bits of the serial port the option values are 1 and 2

Notice

The values of the serial ports should be as same as the user terminal devicersquos otherwise

the serial ports will not communicated with each other

Work mode Two modes of setting transfer are TCP and UDP default is TCP protocol

Protocol Setting which working protocol will be using the default one is DTU protocol If

the user want to customize registration package heartbeat packets please select the

CUSTOM option Registration package and heartbeat packets can be defined in the column of

ldquoCustom registration packagerdquo and ldquoHeartbeat packagerdquo which will enable customization of

the data transfer format

Device ID To number DTU is a method for the central server to recognize DTU The

numbers of ID is fixed to 8 digits add 0 in the front of numbers to full 8 digits if there are

less than 8

Device SIM card number Setting the mobile number of SIM card with the fixed 11 bits

These parameters do not the mobile number of SIM card but to provide a method for central

server to recognize the connected device

Data Frame Interval time The default is 200ms

The packet rules of DTU data packages are follows

1 Once the receiving data from serial port is exceeds the specified length of the buffer

size (2048 bytes) DTU will packet the received data and then send it to the central

server

2 During the setting time of ldquodata frame interval timerdquo if no serial data be received by DTU

device DTU will packet all the received data and send it to the central server

Too short time of ldquoData Frame Interval timerdquo may lead to one data package split into

multiple packets too long time may lead to two or more data packages be packet to one

data package and send for central server in one time Using our companyrsquos factory

default setting will cause one package be split into multiple ones or multiple packages

are packet into one If the appropriate value of time cannot be calculated or

experimental please feel free to contact us We will help you to calculate a reasonable

data frame interval time

Heartbeat time It is the interval time of periodically sending the monitoring data online to

maintain the link Unite second The default is 60s It is recommended that the heartbeat

time should not be set too short to increase the traffic also not too long to monitor if device

fail to connect in a short time The recommend value range is from 10s to 120s

Heartbeat definition after connecting to wireless network wireless network will

automatically break the connection with DTU if there is no sending data in a certain time

The heartbeat package will be sending for the data center in a cycle in order to maintain the

connection of wireless network

Option None function state not to send the heartbeat package

Option Use Default function state To use the default heartbeat package 0xFE

Option Self Define function state user can definite the heartbeat package

Custom registration package DTU will send the registration information to the center once

it success to establish the links with the central server

The function of system debugging is displaying the main debugging info of system andeasy the user to quickly troubleshoot problems
