Start with Google Earth1. Select the Directions tab.2. Type the starting location

in the From field.

3. Type the ending location on the To field.

4. Click the search button.

Save the Route1. Select File->Save->Save Place As.

The Save file… window appears.

2. Select the location in which to save the file.

3. Type the file name.

4. Select Kml (*.kml) as the file type.

5. Click the Save button.

Go to Geocaching.com

1. Click My Account.2. Click Build Pocket Queries.

In My Pocket Queries…1. Click Find Caches Along a Route.

Upload the File

1. Select the Upload GPX / KML tab.2. In the Upload GPX or KML File field, type the path to

the .kml file or click Browse to locate the file.3. Click Upload.

Save the Route1. Check the box to the left of the .kml file

2. Click Save Selected Routes.

Create the Pocket Query1. Select the Your Created Routes tab.

2. Click Create Pocket Query.

Configure the PQ Options2. Configure cache type,

container type, and filter options.

1. Select the route search criteria.• How far from the route• How many caches

3. Select the email options and click the Submit information button.

Run thePocket Query1. Click the Pocket Queries link.

2. Click the Preview icon to view the route.

3. When you are satisfied with the route, check the box for the day you wish to run the query.
