    Cables Laboratory :

    Cables lab has facilities to undertake type testing of all types of power

    cables of rating 1.1 kV up to 220 kV voltage rating and their accessories as per

    Indian and International standards .In addition the laboratory can undertake partialdischarge test and dielectric loss power factor measurement on current transformers

    , bushings and surge arrestors etc.

    ACCREDITATIONS : -

    The facility has been accredited for Electrical testing as per r ISO/IEC 17025 by

    National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) Govt

    of India. and signatory to International Laboratory accreditation Co-

    operation( ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement.

    accessories.

    CONSULTANCY:-

    Expertise for Pre Commissioning tests on EHV Cable at site, Failure analysis of

    Power Cables and accessories

    CLIENTELE :-

    Facilities are extensively used by all power Utilities and major Cable and

    accessory manufacturers from India . In addition Our Clientile include Clients from

    Bangladesh, Srilanka , Malaysia, Thailand, Germany and Countries from Middle East

    like Saudi Arabia and UAE

    Infrastructure

    With the time DVC developed and expanded its infrastructure Five thermal power

    stations with a capacity of 2570 MW, three hydro-electric power stations with acapacity of 144 MW and one gas turbine station with a capacity of 82.5 MW

    contribute to a total installed capacity of 2796.5 MW. Presently DVC has 60 sub-stations and receiving stations more than 5500-circuit km of transmission and

    distribution lines. DVC has also four dams, a barrage and a network of canals that

    play an effective role in water management. The construction of check dams,development of forests and farms and upland and wasteland treatment developed by

    DVC play a vital role in eco conservation.
