CCS is a member of the Alpha 3 Manufacturing group and the company operates from a 10,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK. Established in 1982, CCS has a vast wealth of experience and expertise drawn from a wide range of industry sectors.

CABLE ASSEMBLIES AND WIRING HARNESSES

CCS provides a wide range of services from simple cable preparation used in fine electronics applications, to more complex wiring looms for heavy industrial applications.

Our experienced product development engineers work with our customers on the development of new products, offering specific suggestions relating to cable and connector selection, layout and manufacturing techniques, as well as material considerations.

With a focus on quality, CCS services include

Cable Preparation - a complete range of semi and fully automatic cable preparation services for use in a diverse range of applications from fine electronic to heavy industrial applications. Correct preparation of cabling prior to its termination to a connector results in a minimisation of assembly times and wiring errors.

Using our high speed automated cut and strip machines, we can cut and strip, and cut to length a diverse range of wire and cable; single and multi-core, braided and sleeved.

Wire and Cable Termination – we can carry out a wide range of solder and crimp termination options for an extensive range of wire and cable types, from discreet wires to industrial multi-core cables, using both standard and bespoke connectors.

High Volume Crimp - Our high volume crimp service provides a superior high volume termination solution of up to 4000+ terminations per hour.

Ribbon Cable Assembly - All flat ribbon cable assemblies are built to individual customer specifications to meet exact impedance and routing requirements. Most commonly used for connecting to PCB’s, these high performance cables can be terminated in a variety of connector types including IDC and IDT connectors and jumpers.

Moulded Assembly And Cable HarnessingWorking with carefully selected industry partners, CCS Electronics is able to provide an extensive portfolio of custom moulded interconnect products and cable over-moulding services. Over-moulding provides extra protection and strain relief to cables ensuring that the interface between the cable and connector are fully protected. From moulded ends to custom moulds specific to your application requirement, CCS Electronics will provide engineering support and can even provide custom colour matching and logo printing.

CCS Electronics manufactures wiring harnesses according to the UL Wiring Harnesses Traceability Program, upon request.

UL’s wiring harnesses traceability program creates value for the end-product manufacturer, by providing traceability for the wire and other components used to construct a wiring harness that is assembled at an off-site location, and intended for use as factory

installed components at an end-product manufacturing facility.

UL verifies that the wiring harness meets the specifications put forth by the buyer of the harness and subsequent consignments will be labelled accordingly.

In addition to supplying the cable assembly, we can install

the assembly into panels or into enclosures offering a

value added sub-contract service.

CCS has developed their skills and experience in

electromechanical assemblies and sub-assembly

and can therefore offer a quality service from

small control panels through to more complex systems.

We can assist in special projects and product modifications,
