Components required:-3 c2pams-1 URC-1 HIOU-1 SB-EVM-E1 cable of MOD 4 Compaq outdoor.-LAN cable and RMT laptop with 29 and above
version.

Method of Procedure
• Insert URC in URC-2 slot.• Replace C1PAM to C2PAM• Replace existing IOU1 with HIOU• Set the rotary switch in HIOU from 1 to 2.(RMT login to
2nd URC).• Connect white/blue and white/grey of first E1 cable to
voice carrier.• Connect white/blue,white/grey,white/orange and
red/blue of second E1 to EVDO carrier. Eg:S4-9 and S4-10 from transport end.

Method of Procedure
• After replacing IOU1 with HIOU, power reset has to be given to entire BTS.
• Observe the second URC, in which L1 and L2 should be off.
• If URC-2 is not responding and all indicators are in off state, then login to it through RMT.
• Select Config>Cell>BTS memory parameters>BTS parameters.

Method of Procedure
BTS serial number and GPS length should be found as in snap shot above.
If it is found blank as shown below then follow below procedure.
Go to Config >cell>Unit type descriptor(UTD)

Method of Procedure
• If UTD is showing errors while setting to the above parameters ,then default UTD parameters can be selected in Lucent technologies>RMT>Config>1bts>IEH>UTD
• Check the generic version in URC2 as shown below.Flash>Generic .
• Only two new generics should be present.Upload if any and Boot>generic>select generic>reset>acive URC

Method of Procedure
• Reboot second URC2 .L1 and L2 indicators found off.• Check the TGCP and ILCP Parameters in
Config>Cell>CSU/ATM parameters.• Apply TGCP and ILCP parameters saved from other
CDM2 configuration of other BTS(preferably compaq outdoor Mod 4).
• CDM2 Port maps also should be applied.• Below shown the configurations of MOD4 compaq
outdoor cdm 2 configurations.

Method of Procedure
• Given below is the final configuration applied in C4400 URC2 and rebooted
• Unselect the 5,6,7 and 8 in selected TGMs of ILCP configuration and apply.
• Please check the link is through from switching center.
• Check Loop and break from transport end.

Method of Procedure
• After rebooting and coordination with Switching center, finally URC2 will be ready.
• Insert SB-EVM card in 6th slot of CMU/UCU.• Wait a while for ready to be active.• Login through RMT and find the cell type as
shown below.• Check the speed using data card.
