new Middle Grade Series “W.AR.P. the Reluctant Assas-
sin”. The event will last for approximately one hour and a
half. The author will read an excerpt from his new book,

then answer questions from the audience.
The event will take place in the Wood Gym. April 7,
2014 (date of the release of the author’s new book in a
paperback format) . The Ottoson is one of the few lucky
American venues. To be able to attend the event, fami-
lies will have to pre-order a copy of the new book
“W.AR.P. the Reluctant Assassin” (Grade 7-10) or of Ar-
temis Fowl: The last Guardian (Grade 4-6), using the
preorder form on page 3.

and 1 friend (Middle School or high School students).
The only exception to that rule is for families with multi-
ple children in the Arlington Public or private schools.
These families need to buy only one copy of the book
and indicate on the form how many people will be at-
tending the event.
You will have until March 31st, to preorder a signed
copy of either book. If you miss that deadline you will
have to buy a copy at the door. this copy won’t be
signed.
Between April 1st and 4th, Ottoson families will receive
a colored wristband in an envelop given by your stu-
dent’s homeroom teacher . (Don’t loose them, you
will have to show them to be admitted to the event.)
Elementary school parents or High School students
who don’t have children in the Ottoson, Robbins and
Fox library patrons, homeschooled students or any
other students from Arlington private schools or from
any school out of the Arlington district will have to
come to the Ottoson Media Center to get their col-
ored wristbands.
Parents will sit on the bleachers and students on the
floor in front of the stage, so they can interact with the
author.
EEoin olfer’s Visit Guideline
On the day of the presentation attendees will have to
show their wristbands and will se seated by the color . The
doors of the Wood Gym will open around 3:00 pm.
When Eoin Colfer is done talking and answering ques-
tions, we ask that you remain seated as he exits the
building .
We will call attendees by the color of their wristband,
small groups at a time and they will reclaim their pre-
ordered copy of the book in the main lobby of the Ot-
toson, at the book tables . A Book table will be set-up
at the back of the Wood Gym, so people can buy cop-
ies of Eoin Colfer’s other books!
