C-mine design centre is located in the right wing of the energy building. It offers space to inspiring design projects by young designers, established values, design innovation happenings and all other activities in line with the vision of the design centre. As such, the rooms can only be rented for professional activities in the design industry and crea-tive economy. Today, different partners have established their businesses in the former lamp room and washing rooms of the coal mine. A cinema complex, two restaurants, an indoor playground, Heritage Unit Mijn-Erfgoed … In addition to movies, Euroscoop also offers the possibility for the organisation of events. The ten halls and rooms with spacious lobby are suitable for seminars, conferences, pre-sentations, press conferences and parties. The former metal warehouse at C-mine houses the studio and exhibition space of Studio Pieter Stockmans. The Studio com-bines artisan production with a contemporary, experimental ap-proach for its porcelain artwork. C-mine expedition for example: an explora-tion tour through the ventilation tunnels of the mine, both above and below ground. But a guided tour of the energy building or a workshop at Studio Pieter Stockmans are also possible. Meet in Genk also offers a wide range of combinations in Genk. ACCESSIBILITYBy carTaking exit 31 Genk-centrum on the E314 motorway, you can see the headframes from a distance. Turn left after exit 31. Turn right at the first intersection. Follow the parking signs towards C-mine P1, 2 or 3.

By public transportThere are four bus lines leaving Genk station towards C-mine: during the day lines 31, 47 and G8, and in the evenings night line G3. The timetable can be consulted via the web-site of De Lijn.

ParkingParking at C-mine is free of charge. There is a wide availability of 1,120 parking spots, both above ground and below. The underground parking is open until 2h00, but can be kept open longer on request. Bus parking is provided along Evence Coppéelaan.

C-MINE VISITOR CENTREAn enthusiastic team at the reception of the energy building will gladly give you creative tips about what’s on offer in the area.
