Light Our Village in Blue: A Diabetes Awareness Project
November is National Diabetes Monthand November 14th is World Diabetes Day.
In honor of this, The Waunakee Family of Lions Club'sOperation Diabetes Blue is once again working on lighting theVillage in Blue, the international color theme of DiabetesAwareness. You are encouraged to show your support bydisplaying your blue light bulb from last year in your outdoorlight or the front window. Residents who have not yetreceived a diabetes awareness blue light may pick one up atthe Chamber Depot beginning November 3rd while supplieslast. Members of the Lions Family will be at the Chamber todistribute blue bulbs from 11am2pm on November 3rd.

The alternate side parking ordinance is in effect from 12midnight through 6:00 a.m. from November 1 to April 1. If possible, please keep parked vehicles off the streets whenit snows.

The DementiaFriendly Waunakee Committee strives to increase awarenessof the challenges those with dementia and their care giversface and what the community can do to provide support.
