    PARISH INFORMATION & EVENTS

    3

From the Pastor: The brief Christmas season comes to a close with the celebration of the Baptism of the Lord today. Through the Prophet Isaiah the Lord God tells us that His Word will not return to Him void, but shall do His will, achieving the end for which He sent it. Jesus the Word made flesh, has come to show us how to do the Father’s Will. Jesus’ public ministry begins with His Baptism in the Jordon by John and the voice from heaven reveals that this is God’s be-loved Son. It is through our own Baptism in the holy waters that we too, become God’s children that the Father is well pleased with, especially when we strive to do the Father’s Will and give Him all praise and honor in the way we worship and live. May the

Holy Spirit, as it descended upon Jesus, also descend upon us to enliven our hearts to love like our Savior Jesus will love this world.

    Blessings, Fr. Fred

    ND March for Life—Jan. 29

You are invited to partake in the first-ever North Dakota March for Life, taking place at the North Dakota State Capitol on January 29, 2021. On January 22, 1973, the United States Supreme Court handed down the Roe v. Wade decision that

made abortion legal, allowing many to choose to have an abortion without government intervention. Since then, over 62 million lives have been lost due to abortion. To begin the event on January 29, Bishop Kagan will celebrate Mass at 11:00 AM for the general public at the Cathedral (separate Masses are being arranged for Catholic School junior high

and high school students so as to allow for adequate social distancing). Following Mass, groups are welcome to march (or

drive) to the Capitol grounds for a program beginning at 12:30 PM to include a keynote speaker and a period of si-

lence for the 62 million lives who have been silenced by abor-tion in the United States since 1973. For more information on

how you can participate in-person or remotely visit www.umary.edu/ndmarchforlife.

    Religious Articles Room

The Religious Articles room will be open Friday’s after. Our 9:00 AM Mass until noon each week.
