Byron Bay Public School 125 Years Celebration Friday 15 th September Meet, Bring and Brag Byron Bay Bowling Club - from 6pm Past and present students and families are invited to meet up with old friends and new friends. All are invited to bring along photographs and newspaper clippings to brag about their time at this amazing school with MC Ron Hughes. The Walk 9am (meet), 9.30am (The Walk begins) The Walk is an enactment of the parade through the streets of Byron Bay that opened the Centenary in 1992. The Walk will begin at Main Beach and finish at the school. Past and present students, teachers and families will walk in decade groups. S R C School Tours 10:30am – 11:30am When was the last time you were on our school grounds? After you’ve signed in at the Meeting Place, join some of our Student Representative Council for a guided tour of our school grounds. Maybe you could even tell them something about when you were at school. Saturday 16 th September Morning Tea from 10:30am Sit down for scones and devonshire tea and admire some artworks and photographs in the hall. Old Fashioned Classroom 10:30am, 11:00am, 1.00pm & 2.00pm What would school have been like 125 years ago? Come and enjoy the experience of being back in time at school. Official Ceremony 11:30am – 12:30pm Celebrate the achievement of the school with the formal assembly. Special guest speakers, a combined choir performance and cake! You won’t want to miss it. Student Performances 1:00pm – 2:30pm Sit on a hay bale under the COLA and enjoy performances by current and previous students. Kindergarten singers, traditional maypole dance, Year 4 boys dance group, Stages 1, 2 & 3 Choirs and previous students Isis & Azura Crawford. Band Buskers 1:00pm – 2:30pm When you’re experiencing the tastes of Eat Street, enjoy the talents of some of our current band students. 21 st Century Classroom 10:30am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 1:00pm If you’re interested in finding out what it’s like being a student today, come and explore some of our amazing technology. Yesteryear Sports 2:00pm – 2:45pm Elastics, skipping, jacks, hula hoops and paper planes. Are these ringing any bells? Come out into the back playground and participate in some fun sports from yesteryear! Interactive Dance 2:30pm – 3:00pm Do you remember the Nutbush and Heel, Toe Polka? Surely! Come along and join Year 4 under the COLA for a dance to finish off the celebrations. Raffle Draw 3.00pm If you bought a ticket, make sure you’re under the COLA at 3pm ready for the draw! You’ve got to be in it to win it! Wrap Up Byron Bay Services Club – from 6pm All are invited to an informal gathering of drinks, dinner and music to continue the sharing of stories and renewing acquaintances. Tables can be booked by groups in the Pandanus Room with dinner available through the bistro. You’ll be treated to stunning musical performances by previous students Billie Rettenmaier and Tyler Sponder. Hosted by MC Debby Ginger. Meet, Bring and Brag Byron Bay Bowling Club - from 6pm

Past and present students and families are invited to meet up with old friends and new friends. All are invited to bring along
