By Will R. Sleep medications Caution: Caution: This project has long words I can not pronounce Slide 2 Original question What minerals are used in sleep and why do the do this. Also what minerals can affect dreams. Slide 3 Final Question What chemicals are used in sleeping medications, why do they work, what affects do they have on the body. Are there natural better alternatives than medications. Slide 4 Topic In this project things that I set out to find included; Difreent kinds of sleep medications, the elemental make up of these medicins, what effect these medicines have on the brain, and more natural alternatives. (I Found Most of these) Slide 5 Medicines Kinds of medications that help with sleep that I have chosen to research include; Unisom, Sleep-Eez, Sominex. Sominex: chemicals in it include Diphenydramine Hydrochloride, The elements that are found in these chemical include; Carbon, Hydrogen, Chlorine, Nitrogen, Oxygen Unisom: chemicals in it include diphenhydramine; Carbon, Hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen and doxylamine; Carbon, oxygen nitrogen Sleep-Eez: chemicals in it include Hydroxytryptophan; Carbon Oxygen Nitrogen Hydrogen A pattern that I noticed (and most likely you too) is that they all have Nitrogen, Carbon, Oxygen, and Hydrogen Slide 6 How And Why The reasons that these work are because they sedate the prefrontal cortex. They trick the brain into thinking that the neural transmitters exist where they dont so you dont think very well thus making you board and tired. Although I do know how the medicines work I have no idea why and by the looks of it neither do any of the companies know either because none of them specified why. Slide 7 Alternatives As a more natural course there is a medicine called melatonin. Melatonin is a naturally made hormone that makes your internal clock. This medicines increases this hormone in your body making you tired. Altough this medicine is made in a lab everything in it is totaly natural. The most natural remedy i have found is chemical called tryptophan. tryptophan is a chemical that has helped a lot of people with insomnia. The best part about this is that it can be found in milk. That is why people find it helpfull to drink milk before they go to sleep. Slide 8 Suggestions As I have researched I realized that these sleeping medicins that are proscribed sounds like, Zombie Apocolypse stuff, So my suggestions to tou is that you use the natural alternatives that I have said. Such as meletonin and tryptophan that do not affect your brain as much by unnatural chemicals
