The Salvation Army, an international
movement, is an evangelical part of the
universal Christian Church. Its message
is based on the Bible. Its ministry is
motivated by the love of God. Its mission
is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ
and to meet human needs in His name
without discrimination.

Men, Women, and Children ShelteredFour homeless shelters are places of hope for those with no place to stay. Our guests find clean, dignified surroundings, they receive meals, counseling, and assistance finding employment.
Groceries DistributedMore than 6,500 struggling households relied on The Salvation Army for groceries to put food on the table. Food is the most requested item throughout the year.
VeteransTransitional housing for homeless veterans is provided in partnership with the Veterans Administration, North Texas Health Care System. Veterans also move into permanent supportive housing through our SAVE (Salvation Army Veterans Enrichment) program.
VolunteersVolunteers expand our small army of officers and workers exponentially to make a major impact in the quality of life in North Texas. We are grateful for their dedicated and selfless support.
Meals ServedPrepared meals meet one of the most basic human needs of the people in our care. There is no cost for meals served each and every day at local Salvation Army centers.

of hope for so many in our local DFW
communities. We provide more than
70 different programs and services for
children, families, domestic violence
victims, senior citizens, and those who
are homeless and addicted. We believe
Christ changes lives. This faith gives us
a motivation that goes beyond simply
doing good. We have a passion for doing
the most good for body, soul and spirit.

LIVES TOUCHED
BY THE SALVATION ARMY IN THE DFW METROPLEX
Caring for the poor. Feeding the
hungry. Clothing the naked. Loving the
unlovable. Befriending the friendless.
To compassionately serve men, women,
and children, The Salvation Army
goes into places others prefer to avoid:
impoverished neighborhoods, jails and
prisons, hospital rooms, nursing homes,
gatherings of alcoholics and drug addicts,
and into the immediate scene of natural
disasters.
Majors Jonathan and Barbara RichDFW Metroplex Commanders
"Never before has the DFW Metroplex
needed the work of The Salvation Army
more than now. We believe we're poised to
Do the Most Good in increasing ways in
the days to come for the glory of God and
for the good of those most in need."
