To motivate childrens interests for exploring, here I designed this thematic plan Slide 4 The Activity Objectives Motivate childrens interests to explore our body. Help children to set up a primary knowledge of names and locations of our organs and how they function in our body. Guide children to form a good dietary health habit. Slide 5 Activity Preparation Make the project: The report of major organs in the human body Images of main organs inside the human body Slide 6 Procedure of the Activity Guide children to think and discuss The teacher pose questions like what we can see from each others body? How do they work in our lives? Children are allowed to discuss in groups Representatives will be asked to show their results Inside voice is encouraged during the discussion Slide 7 Procedure of the Activity Engage children to watch the report of major organs in the human body, to further explore the secrets of our bodies Children will be asked to tell whatever they heard from the report The teacher will write down their answers and give bonus to encourage their learning Through presentation of the report, guide children to learn the names and locations of organs in our body and how to protect them to keep our body healthy. Slide 8 Procedure of the Activity Carry out the game Who is the doctor to deepen childrens understanding of organs and locations in our body The teacher will prepare three groups of cards with images of organs on and three pictures of blank human body Children will be divided into three groups and put these cards on the right place of the human body Time will be limited The process will be video recorded The teacher will share the video with parents to show their purpose Slide 9 Smart Art Body BrainHeartLung Bone Structure LiverStomach Slide 10 Graphic of Major Organs Brain Liver Lungs Heart Stomach Gut Bones Slide 11 Brain Located in the cranial cavity it is the supreme command of the human body, which directs activities of our organs It is the most complex organ in human body Slide 12 Heart Located in the central part of the chest, the lower left corner, between two lungs. It is the driving force of blood circulation, and promote blood circulation in the veins It looks like peaches and has the size of a fist Slide 13 Lung Located in the chest cavity, two lungs in each side The lungs are the essential respiration organ in human body They transport oxygen from outside to blood stream, and release carbon dioxide from blood stream to outside. Slide 14 Liver It is located at the upper right of the abdominal cavity, and it is the largest body gland. It can secrete bile, promote fat digestion and plays an important role in the body's metabolism. It is necessary for our survival, there is no way to compensate for the absence of liver system Slide 15 Stomach Located in the upper left abdomen, the largest part of digestive tract It can temporarily store the food and mix food with gastric juice It secretes proteases and strong acids to aid in food digestion Slide 16 Bone Structure We have 206 bones to support our body movement. With bone structure we have certain body shape which prevent visceral organs from external force. The bone mass in the skeleton reaches maximum density around age 30.
