Medieval Studies etc) To be successful must be a highly self-motivated driven student. To be successful must be in constant communication with online teacher. Turning in a registration form does not guarantee placement. If a student gets a spot in an online course, they are notified of their username

and password at the start of each semester. Only Semester grades and final grades are posted on the report card but parents

are notified via email of their child’s progress. Classes are either taken through blackboard or moodle.

Currently we are accepting registration forms for spring and summer.

What?High School juniors and seniors who would like to take college level courses while in high school and earn high school and college

credit.Eligibility Must be a junior or senior. Must have a high school weighted cumulative gpa of 3.0 or higher. Must demonstrate college readiness on a placement test such as the Plan, PSAT, ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer Must have reliable transportationFees CPCC tuition is waived. Students are responsible for cost of textbooks. Students are responsible for insurance fees on some courses.Courses Core 44 Pathways: Business & Economics, Engineering & Math, Humanities & Social Science, Life & Health Sciences (worth 1

additional quality point on high school transcript and will transfer to any NC public university) Career and Technical Pathways: Automotive, Fire Protection, Early Childhood, Business Operations, Civil Engineering, Collision

Repair, Machining, Construction Supervision, Criminal Justice, Electrical Engineering, Flexographic Print, Graphic Print, Intro. To Energy, Intro to Horticulture, Interior Design, Mechatronics Engineering, Medical Assisting, Residential Architecture, Simulation & Game Development, and Surveying. (The courses within these pathways count as completer courses for FRC clusters. They are not weighted on a high school transcript. Students can earn a certificate of completion for job readiness)

Career and College Promise through CPCC

Any Senior who plans to attend CPCC upon graduation.

CPCC admissions representatives will come into Senior English classes to obtain names of interested students.

Students must apply and will be offered the required placement test, the Accuplacer, at Mallard Creek High School in March.

CPCC admissions representatives will come to Mallard Creek in April to help students register for fall courses based on their Accuplacer placement scores.

Who?

Any student athlete who may receive an athletic scholarship from Division I or II colleges/universities.

What?

The NCAA is the institution that governs the rules and regulations for Division I and II athletes.

To Do list for Student Athlete: In your 9th grade year take advantage of a free website that will help you determine your core gpa
