Panama

Panama is located in Central America. Panama is situated between Costa Rica and Columbia. The capital city of Panama is Panama City.

Where is Panama?

Panama was discovered by Spanish explorer Rodrigo de Bastidas in 1501 and became under Spanish rule. They were fought by many of the local people and had hard times settling a colony and in 1519 a Spaniard found the city of Panama which is located near present day Panama city.

Spanish Rule

Panama gained independence in 1821 and they soon after joined Gran Colombia, which was several Latin America countries united together. Internal fighting lead to the abolishment of Gran Colombia but Panama stayed as a province of Colombia.

Yes, I would go there Panama has hundreds of beaches public and private and it also has many sights to see including mountains and rain forests.

Would I Go there?

Panamas tourist season is normally from mid-December to mid-April because that is their dry season. Panama is also very hot and steamy during the rainy season and could be pretty mild during the dry season.

When Should You Visit and Weather

Panama is home to the Panama Canal which is a place that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean across the Isthmus of Panama and is a vital part for maritime trade.
