GENERAL INFORMATION ON SALE:Maynards Europe is proud to announce the sale of all surplus assets of the
GM/Opel ASTRA assembly plant in Antwerp, Belgium.
The Antwerp plant has been the main assembly plant for the OPEL ASTRA passenger car, Version H (2004 – 2010) as 5/3-Door, Station and Convertible. The maximum capacity was 56 Cars per Hour. The plant has a roofed area of approx. 400,000 square meter or 4 million square feet and includes
the following departments:• Press Shop• Body Shop• Paint Shop
• General Assembly• Toolroom, Maintenance, Plant Utilities
Production will stop at the end of December 2010 as a result of the reorganization of GM Europe. All of the equipment has been very well maintained and can be viewed on site in its original condition.
OFFERS AND TIMELINES:We expect offers on main items including Presses, Paint Shop, Body Shop cells or the entire plant
prior to the 31st of January 2011. Any remaining equipment will be sold by auction in March 2011. The equipment must be removed
according to Opel schedule and prior to June 2011.

ASSEMBLY SHOP EQUIPMENTGeneral Information:
• Capacity: 56 cars per Hour • Assembled Models: 5-Door, GTC (3-Door), CARAVAN (Station), TwinTop (Convertible) • Facility: 122.000 sqm • Approx. 200 work places/stations • New assembly lines installed in 1996 (Brownfield to Leanfield conversion ) • Installed capacity: 60 jobs per hour • Main line cars in process: 250 up to 350 units • Including pre-assembly lines for cockpit, doors and engines • Straight lines • Short line segments ( 20 – 25 units ) • Overhead decouplers between lines ( buffer size of 4 – 5 units ) • Integrated Andon management system • Storage area separated from production area
Pre-trim operations:
• 4 workstations prior to cavity waxing • 2 automated spray booths for cavity waxing • 1 manual spray booth including repair facility • Car in hanger, double drip of track ( car under 20° inclination )
Trim shop:
• Car on wide skillet ( 5.8m x 3.3m ) with friction drive • 4 line segments • Straight & sideway movement • 90 workstations • Cockpit delivery conveyor • Seat delivery conveyor • Automated windshield & backwindow sealing and installation
