Overview
In this presentation we will be seen some of Ted H. Silverman’s art. First we will see Ted’s biography, then some example of his sculptures and what influenced him to do these sculptures. Finally we will be seen some sketches of my next ceramic pot the were inspired by this great artist.
Ted H. Silverman has been sculpting for over 35 years. He works in Italian and domestic marble, white and colored alabaster and clay. His abstract sculptures evolve from his spirituality and a compelling desire to expend his energy in a way that allows the viewer/owner the opportunity to feel his or her own positive energy. The sensual qualities are liberating for both the artist and the observer.Ted studied in Pietrasanta, Italy and brings old world craftsmanship and classic sensibilities to his work. He continues his studies at the Marble/marble Symposium held every Summer in Marble, Colorado.

My Sketch
This pot was inspired by the artist that I chose because of his pot named “Totem II”. The button part will be made of slab and the upper part (the one that looks like an egg) is going to be a pinch pot.
My Sketch
This is my pot’s birds-eye-view.
