What is Social Injustice

Social Injustice is the unfairness or injustice of a society in its division.

This means that many things are unfair in the certain situation.

Prison Conditions

There was much abuse throughout the prison. Slept on concrete floors with no bedding. They were receiving starvation rations. (Mainly

gluey rice) There was much dehydration because

prisoners were only getting a small cup of water once in the morning and once at night.

Maggots were everywhere. As punishment Iron Shacks must be worn.

These weigh nearly six kilos and have a bar that keeps the feet permanently astride.

Prison Conditions

Over 10,000 former political prisoners

You could not get medicine unless your family was rich enough to provide it for you or you were a political prisoner.

Over If you were poor you would just die in

prison.

Results

There wasn’t much they did or could do because it was prison but they put laws into place saying that prisoners must get three meals a day and have water provided when they want it.

The State Peace and Development has formulated numerous vague laws as security legislation in order to imprison those who oppose any laws.

What interested me to do this topic… I wanted to see the harsh conditions

these prisoners had to go through. The topic sounded interesting. Many people go through this daily and I

wanted to see what actually happened… and who knows maybe ill end up there one day and I would like to see the conditions I would be living in.
