Facts Issue
In Santa Fe students were chosen for a pre-game prayer at their high school varsity football game
The majority of the student body and one Mormon and Catholic Family sued stating that these prayers violate peoples religions
These student led prayers were traditions in Texas
On the PA system two students share a prayer during their high school varsity football game
People argued that this violated the Establishment Clause

Which states that congress will respect religious freedom and the practice of
your religion while making laws
One speaker representing the student body Being supervised by school faculty
Under a school policy that encourages public prayer

The Majority Opinion
The Dissenting Opinion says that the majority is giving false information under the Establishment Clause
The tone of the court was unfriendly to the general public, to people who practice religion
They Stated that George Washington declared a public prayer to be observed and known by people who are thankful of their religion

6-3 There were 6 votes for Jane Doe and 3 votes
against her The court ruled that Santa Fe Independent
School Districts was going against the Establishment Clause by having student led
prayers The majority opinion came out on top
