Habitat
• Lives in warm water off the Atlantic ,Pacific and Indian Oceans.
• Also lives in cold waters in the northern shores of Canada and the southern coast of south Africa.

Diet• Leatherback sea turtles have backward spines in their mouth and throat.
• Their favorite prey is jellyfish.• The spines keep the slippery food from falling out.

Protection
• The seaturtle has a leather shell.
• Crabs and raccoons feed on hatchlings as soon as they are born.

• Females can lay up to 90-130 eggs.
• It’s the biggest sea turtle.• They can weigh up to 20 tons.• They can dive as deep as 1,000
feet in the ocean.• Even though they might look
like they are crying, their special glands allow them to get rid of extra salt from the ocean water.
