Water pollution is is putting anything in lakes river streams or oceans, that doesn’t belong there.

Water is changing the world. Many people have died and many animals have been killed. We are turning our world into a trash can. So please recycle and don’t litter. By doing that you our helping the world.

Polluted water could have once been like this!

Only one percent of all the worlds water is drinkable. 97% is salty or undrinkable, 2% is locked up in glaciers. So that only leaves one percent for all human needs!!!

There are many causes of water pollution but there are two main categories direct and indirect.

Water can be polluted in many ways thermal pollution, chemical and pollution and ecological pollution.

Not all pollution is from humans sometimes nature has a natural way of polluting things.

Sometimes it’s really hard to stop water pollution because you can see it.

Polluting isn’t just dumping garbage into the water. Pollution can be a ship coming from a different country and putting new species into the water.

The biggest way that humans pollute water is by flushing the toilet .

Some factories just dump there garbage in rivers and lakes just because they're lazy

Water pollution became a huge problem in June of 1969, when Cuyahoga river caught on fire because it was so polluted!!!! It was not the first time that the river was on fire.

Water pollution effects everything……

•It effects us – for us we end up drinking it and getting diseases from it. I think its strange because we’re putting the pollution there and we’re doing that to ourselves!

•It effects animals – animals is almost the same as us they drink it and get diseases.

There is water pollution all around the world and is a major problem to us and other animals. Some of the things we can do to stop it is disposing of our garbage properly. Stop factory’s from dumping toxic chemicals in the rivers. We can also preserve our water and not waste it!

With out water we will die and our water is already limited so please don’t kill us because of water pollution and littering!!!

hole could have looked like this…..

This lake is crystal clear and you never

know it could one day look like the previous

picture, if we don’t do anything about

pollution.
