Cutting Edges Cutting Edges are used in the front of loader and excavator buckets. Standard sizes available in thicknesses from 12-60 mm, widths 100-500 mm and the lengths 3050 and 6100 mm.
Grader Blade The curved Grader Blade is used extensively in the construction and earthmoving industries. The standard Grader Blade is available in 203 mm wide, 19 mm thick, in lengths of 1828 mm (6 feet) and 2134 mm (7 feet).
Flat EdgesFlat Edges are a multi-purpose steel for all ploughing and grading. We can offer Flat Edges in hardness 500 Brinell and in certain dimensions also in 600 Brinell. Steel in 600 Brinell provides up to 40 % longer tool life compared to conventional steel. A selection of the Flat Edges are available with returned ends.
Ice Scraper/Serrated Blades For tough ice or snow use Borox Serrated Blades. The Serrated Blade is excellent on ice packed roads. The process provides a surface with excellent road holding. The Serrated Blades is available in many versions - curved or fl at with rolled sharp profi les or fl at not beveled, providing the contractor with a number of options.
Ice Scraper BX500 BX500 is self-sharpening and fi ts most graders and ploughs. After processing BX500 leaves a rough road surface with grooves, which retain the salt and sand in an effi cient manner. This reduces salt consumption and improves deicing. BX500 is available in three widths: 180, 240 and 300 mm, most lengths and thickness 10 mm. BX 500 is also available with retur-ned ends to protect the outer side of the plough blade.
Flat Carbide Edges The multi-purpose steel for all ploughing and grading. Borox fl at carbide edges are manufactured for the majority of commercially available machines and equipment. In order to provide quick service, all year round, standard edges are available from stock. The edges are reinforced with carbide to provide long life.
Ice Scrape BX500R, Rubber Coated BX500R has the same unique properties as BX500. Providing BX500R with a lining of rubber eliminates snow and ice from penetrating the perforated holes.
System BX2000The carbide pins rotate to collect the material which is ground between the pins. The pins work their way down in to the material with a small contact surface and this makes the grader easy to manoeuvre. The hardened metal tip is easily replaced. System BX2000 is available as standard with 25º angle and also with 45º angle for attachment to the truck.
Wear Strips Wear Strips are used in a number of applications. They are used on buckets to increase the wear life. The standard range is available in thicknesses from 10-30 mm, widths from 80-200 mm and the lengths 3050 and 6100 mm.
Profi led Cutting Edges Profi led Cutting Edges are used for added protection of the Base Edges. They are either bolted or welded on to the Base Edge. The Half Arrow Edges are also used as side cutters on buckets and also on bucket repairs. Half Arrow Edges are available in thickness from 11 to 40 mm and a width from 101 to 254 mm.
Double Bevelled DB reversible, drilled or not drilled in 6 m lengths with 6” hole centre’s, suitable for Base Edges for most major OEM’s. Available in thicknesses from 16-40 mm and in widths from 150-400 mm. Hole dimensions from 5/8” to 1 1/4”.
Trapezoidal and Spade Blade Cutting Edges Borox manufactures a wide range of Trapezoidal and Spade Cutting Edges for loader and excavator buckets.
Bolt-On Edges and Segment They are bolted onto the Base Edge and increase the life of the bucket. Bolt-On Edges and Segments are reversible, which means that you can maximize the edge before they need replacing.
Base Edges Borox Base Edges are used in the front of buckets together with Bolt-On Edges or Segments. They are cut to length and drilled according to customer specifi cations. Standard lengths and dimensions are available from stock.
Grouser Bars Grouser Bars are used in the screening and crushing industry as grid bars. They are also used in track shoe repair. Grouser Bars are avail-able in height 24-75 mm and width 16-45 mm.
Wear Plate Borox Wear Plates are bolted under the bucket and are easily replaced to provided added protection and extend wear life.

What to look for in premium Studded Truck Chains:The Microstructure of a link of studded cross chain can give us a great deal of information about its quality. This information can confirm if the there are any heat treating issues or material flaws. Consistency is important and indicates a stronger, longer wearing alloy. A consistent “martensitic structure” will show finer structures with smaller/shorter needles and less white areas. (see pictures A & B below)
When trying to gauge the strength of a studded chain you may also look at the hardness values. The chart below is a comparative Hardness test provided by an independant lab... any values over 5.1 are classified as the case depth or carburization thickness. Find the distance from the surface hardness to the last figure above 5.1 to determine the case depth.
