• April 2015 – cycle start.
• November 2015 – ECP Monitor hours > -350 SHE. MMS skid
unavailability due to temperature differential >5°F between MMS
and RWCU.
• January 2016 – HWC ramp test and Maintenance outage.
Inspection Relief Status
Claim inspection relief based on HWC
for jet pump hold down beams.
Increased inspection interval from every 6
years to every 10 years.
Next hold down beam inspection in 1R17
(2019).
Notable Chemistry Transients or Mitigation
Performance Issues
Replacement of Dresser
globe valves in FW
injection lines with gate
valves in 1R15.
Could not establish DI
water injection at 90
ml/min.
Attempted injection at
50% flows – skid tripped
on high pressure.
October 2015 application
terminated after injection
of 138 g Pt.
OLNC feedwater injection lines blocked after valve
replacements in 1R15 (2015).
Alternate OLNC Injection Point
Alternate injection point identified as ¾” vent line into RWCU on the return to vessel after regenerative heat exchangers.
Ties into both FW lines downstream of normal injection points.
OLNC skid moved into containment to refuel floor to inject.
◦ Contaminated area
◦ Containment FME zone
◦ Rigging through airlock to refuel floor
Alternate OLNC Injection Point
Temporary modification provided for:
◦ DI water source
◦ Power
◦ Seismic evaluation
◦ Transient combustible loading

OLNC Skid Issues Encountered
Computer slow response
◦ Defragmented hard drive
DI water pump drive assembly seizure
◦ Last day of injection
◦ Purchased replacement drive assembly
◦ Purchased backup DI water pump
Pressure indicator PI-1 and PI-2 failure
◦ Displays strobe then go blank
◦ Capacitor issue on PI boards
◦ Purchased one new, will refurb two installed, and keep extra in spares

Low power H2 injection implemented
2013 (1R14)
◦ Placed in service ~4% power
◦ MFP or one RFP in service
◦ SJAE in service
◦ One Hydrogen Analyzer in service

Artifacts for CNC or OLNC Pt
Characterization
Perry has two MMS coupons that have seen
1 and 2 OLNC applications which
correspond to the in-vessel artifact scraping
from a capsule which has also seen the same
two OLNC applications. Coupons at
NWT/GEH now for analysis.
