The tour continued to Pasadena, Texas, to sup- port The Wheelhouse, a bare-bones living environment that offers help to men with drug or alcohol addictions. Written by New York Times bestselling author Susan Mustafa with Earl B. Heard, “Rock Bottom and Back™” depicts the incredible lives of 22 people who hit rock bottom and then came back from profound despair to help others in extraordinary ways. Featuring celebrities as well as ordi- nary people, “Rock Bottom and Back” reveals the tragedy of reaching bottom through loss, trauma, alcoholism, and drug, sex or gambling addictions. This compila- tion offers hope to those who have hit bot- tom and is a roadmap to wellness, redemp- tion and — ultimately — a successful life. A companion DVD — narrated by actor Danny Trejo and co-produced by BIC Media Solutions, Mission Media Productions and YASNY Entertainment — features interviews with Jerry Strickland, Whitney Strickland, Tonja Myles, Stanley Roberts, David Bottner and Billy Rivers, whose stories are also highlighted in the book. “I wanted to create something that would show everyone hitting bottom is tough, sometimes life-shattering, but we can come back to be happier and more successful than we could imagine through dedicating our lives to others,” stated Heard. “Each story is different, but all of the stories share the same lesson: through helping others, we can heal ourselves. It’s a powerful message.” The Houston Area Safety Council, Calculated Controls, Mission Media Productions and BIC Media Solutions co- hosted the “Rock Bottom and Back” event in Pasadena, Texas. Attendees were able to meet the authors, heroes from the book and those involved with the film. homeless or worse. “So many good people helped me find my way back,” said Whitney Strickland. “No matter how bad things seem, help is available. The Wheelhouse gives men a place to find help when they have nowhere else to go. Thank you to all those who were involved with ‘Rock Bottom and Back’ and for supporting The Wheelhouse. It’s great to see two ‘Rock Bottom and Back’ premiere events that are helping so many people. ” BIC Media Solutions’ “Rock Bottom

and Back” premiere event in New Orleans was held in front of a packed house at the Prytania Theatre. At this event, BIC Media Solutions and The New Orleans Mission came together to celebrate the power of personal transformation in the oldest single-screen theatre still operating in Louisiana. Mission Media Productions — The New Orleans Mission’s very own media department — gives homeless indi-viduals the opportunity to develop artistic talents through the creation of viable media products in the form of film, photography,

a live rescue radio program and more. With a theme surrounding powerful experiences from hardship to triumph, the Louisiana and Texas premieres of “Rock Bottom and Back” have set the framework for telling the story of one truly unique proj-ect. The “Rock Bottom and Back” DVD and
