Becoming a Global Franchise‘BonChon’ is the Korean word for “original village.” Just as people
yearn for their homelands, we hope that our customers will long
for our amazingly crispy, juicy, and flavorful chicken wherever they are.
We firmly believe that our tasty and unique chicken will usher in a
new era of fried chicken.
IN 2002, the first Bonchon Store opened in Pusan, South Korea. Bonchon
Chicken quickly gained popularity and became a local favorite for
its crispy, juicy, yet lean, fried chicken with an astounding Soy Garlic
or Hot flavor. The unique taste and texture of Bonchon Chicken
developed a strong customer base and helped Bonchon Chicken
expand to over 25 restaurants in South Korea alone.
IN May 2006, Bonchon Chicken entered the US market, opening its first restaurant
in Leonia, New Jersey.
By THE ENd OF 2007, Bonchon Chicken was operating six restaurants in New York,
New Jersey and Virginia. Since then, it has become an east
coast favorite.

History
Bonchon Chicken is a growing global franchise with 20
locations throughout the United States, and 30 locations
overseas. We have stores in: US, Indonesia, South
Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Singapore.
BonChon is a restaurant franchise selling Korean-style
fried chicken. We believe that our special chicken,
seasoned with our secret sauces, can begin a new
love for fried chicken around the world.

What is Bon-Chon?

sTOrE CONCEpTsWe offer two different store concepts for our franchisees.
1. TakE-OuT / dELIvEry sTOrE• A small store, around 1,000 sq. ft.
• Take-out and delivery with a limited amount of seating.
• The menu will include chicken and side items.
2. FuLL-sErvICE-dINE-IN• A restaurant around 2,000 sq. ft. or more.
• Take-out and delivery will be optional, but highly
recommended.
• The menu will include BonChon chicken, side items,
and dishes appropriate for region of business.
• Beer and wine license is optional, but recommended.

our special thin and very crispy skin.
Under the crispy, thin skin layer is tender and
moist meat.
There is a subtle, airy space between the meat and

dOuBLE-FrIyING means…
Our chicken is fried once, then fried twice after a short period of “breathing.”
The double-fry produces a thin and crispy skin while fat is sucked
out. All that remains is the wing meat which retains its moisture,
protected by the thin battered skin.
HaNd BrusHING
HaNd-BrusHINGOur chicken is not carelessly dumped and mixed in a bowl of
sauce, but hand-brushed, piece-by-piece, with our signature
sauces, immediately after the second fry.

BonChon Chicken is:
Crispier, juicier, leaner,
TASTIER CHICKEN.
BonChon’s crispy fried chicken is juicy and lean on the inside and
crispy on the outside, which is coated with one of our two boldly
flavored secret sauces. Our chicken contains 0g of trans fat and isn’t
greasy like your average fried chicken or buffalo wings. In all aspects
of preparation, taste, and texture, BonChon chicken is one-of-a-kind.
Our special sauces are made in our own factory in South Korea. No
other seasoning is added to our chicken. The unparalleled crispiness
of the skin, and the moistness and leanness of the meat underneath
are achieved by our unique double-frying cooking process.
As savory as the chicken are our side-dishes, which include cubed
radishes (Korean equivalent of the pickle) and kimchi coleslaw. They serve
as refreshing and crunchy palate-cleansers accompanying each bite of
our chicken.
