Corrections
Some journalists believe that it harms their newspaper’s credibility to publish a correctionof an error. In fact, most readers understand that journalists are human and do occasionallyerr. Readers will appreciate prompt publication of corrections, which eventually enhancesthe newspaper’s credibility.
It is convenient to print all corrections and amplifications of the day regularly on the samepage and place in a newspaper, unless the country’s law determines placing themdifferently, such as in the same place on which the incorrect information appeared. Exhibit 48.2
