Have you ever called a business, listened to the person
answering the phone, and then felt like hanging up?
Obviously there are some ways of answering the phone that
annoy people.
And there are other ways that can jump your profits by up to 17%!

I’ve tested this with 500+ businesses to confirm what you’re about to learn… so it

Just say this…“Thank you for calling (your business name), this is (your
first name)”(And make it sound melodious)
That’s it! Don’t say anything more, or add anything to it.
Adding any words, or saying anything different can result in
losing a LOT of sales
A common way of talking when answering the phone, is to add
the word “speaking”.
Don’t say that either.It drastically reduces your
authority.
When using this greeting, usually the caller will give you their first
name in response.
That’s a great way to begin a new relationship!
The next tip is about what to say next. Often the caller asks a
question, but this is a BIG trap.DON’T Answer it!
(unless they are asking how to pay you!)
Their question is simply an ice-breaker.
What they want is help, guidance, and to be educated, to
make an informed, buying decision with confidence
Think about this… Who’s the authority?
You, or the person calling?
If you know a LOT more than the person calling, why would you let
them ask you the questions?
When you go to a doctor, who asks the questions? You or the doctor?
The doctor asks you the questions, to fully understand
your situation, to “diagnose” it, to make an informed decision as
to what you need
Incoming phone calls are the same.
You know so much more than the customer… so ask them the
questions. Diagnose the solution to their needs.
Start by asking them… “Do you mind if I ask you a few
questions?”
They always say yes, and then ask questions and ‘diagnose’!
One of my clients added $60,000 in 1 month to their sales using
this strategy!
