This is an example of ESRI ArcGIS explorer with a stacked bar chart layer and a graduated symbols layer

This shows the full extent view, users need to zoom in closer to get a better view of the layers

These layers are served from ArcGIS Server and are dynamic

When the data changes the layers change also

This is an example of a Pie Chart map which packs a lot of data into a single, easy to understand display

These symbols will change. For example, if you want them to you can turn into simple points as the user zooms out

This is another set of data showing the inventory levels of tractor trailers by type in drop yards

Notice the legend to the left which breaks down the colors shown in the pie chart layer

These layers also change when the data changes

This is an example of a stacked bar chart, which is similar to a pie chart, but is able also depict the size of data

Again, notice the legend on the left describes the meaning of the colors in the stacked bars

The larger points represent higher values and the smaller points represent relatively lower values

This also shows a buffer query which is an example of how a business intelligence GIS in a web viewer application can do more than just display

A buffer query searches the area drawn on the map using a simple mouse-activated tool

This is another example of a graduated symbols layer, with colors

This map depicts traffic volumes

The Gold lines are thickest and represent the highest classification of values, the dark blue lines are the middle classification and the light blue lines are the lowest range of values

This map is similar to the line map, but instead depicts volumes by area (first 3 digits of the zip codes)

Again, the gold is the area with the highest volumes and darker shades of blue represent more volume than the lighter shades of blue

This is the same map, but broken down by all 5 digits of the zip codes

Notice how the highest values look like lines

This is because the interstates rim through those zip codes

As a result, this map looks almost identical to the line map

It is a national view of the 3-digit zip codes with small overview maps breaking it down further into two main categories

This layer also displays the direction of the traffic flow as arrows and number labels representing the exact volume of the flows per line segment
