SINOPSE
O presente curso destina-se a todas as pessoas que pretendam adquirir os
conhecimentos básicos do Inglês para profissionais. O Inglês é efectivamente
a língua universal, sobretudo no mundo empresarial, e saber falar esta língua
assume cada vez mais relevância no mercado de trabalho, no uso das novas
tecnologias e na procura de um emprego ou profissão.
Este curso de formação irá facilitar a aprendizagem do idioma. O formando
aprende os conteúdos essenciais e iniciais do Inglês de forma prática, com
diversos recursos áudio interactivos e links.
PRINCIPAIS OBJECTIVOS
No final deste curso, terá:
- tido contacto com vocabulário elementar (profissões, conversas telefónicas,
currículo, cartas de apresentação, entrevistas de trabalho, etc.);
- apreendido conceitos elementares da gramática inglesa (o tempo verbal

APRESENTAÇÃO
O QUE É BUSINESS ENGLISH?
Business English ou Inglês para profissionais é uma variante do Inglês Inter-
nacional usada especialmente no mundo dos negócios. Muitos não nativos,
ou seja, pessoas cuja língua materna não é o Inglês, estudam esta vertente da
língua com o objectivo de fazer negócio ou de estabelecer relações comerciais
com países de expressão inglesa ou com empresas localizadas fora desses países
de expressão inglesa mas que mesmo assim usam o Inglês como língua comum
ou língua franca. A comunicação em Inglês que ocorre nos variados círculos de
negócio em todo o mundo é feita por falantes não nativos de Inglês. Nestes casos,
obviamente, o objectivo é ser-se eficiente e conseguir alcançar uma comunicação
efectiva com o interlocutor.
Business English significa coisas diferentes para pessoas diferentes. Para alguns,
diz respeito ao vocabulário próprio e tópicos usados no mundo dos negócios,
do comércio, das finanças e das relações internacionais. Para outros, refere-
-se às capacidades comunicativas usadas no local de trabalho e centra-se na
linguagem e capacidades necessárias à típica comunicação empresarial, tais
como apresentações, negociações, reuniões, socialização, correspondência,
escrita de relatórios, entre outras.
