An energy advisory service will be run by the Department’s roll out partner, the NSW Business Chamber. e roll out partner will deliver face-to-face, phone and digital advice to help small businesses across Australia understand their energy saving opportunities and more effectively switch energy plans and retailers. 2. Development of an energy benchmarking tool led by AlphaBeta and Xero Small Business Insights, for small businesses to compare their energy spend against their peers. e data which underpins this tool will support a ‘true’ comparison based on business type, location and other relevant characteristics. Who is eligible for advice? Small businesses with between 6 and 20 employees qualify for free advice on how to lower their energy bills and improve their energy efficiency. Services will be available to small businesses in all Australian states and territories. When will services be up and running? Advisory services will be launched in July 2019. Small businesses can register their interest in receiving services now. e Department and the NSW Business Chamber will make sure that signing up for an advice session is convenient for small businesses. e energy benchmarking tool is expected to be launched in August 2019. e tool will be designed to make it easy for small businesses to use. ird party developers will have opportunities to build on the functionality of the tool. Business Energy Advice Program—OverviewThe $11.7 million Business Energy Advice Program will deliver trusted advice to help small businesses get better energy deals and increase their energy efficiency

How will the program work?There are two components to the Program:
