Acotex is a unique event specially crafted to foster the development of business & commerce between ASEAN members. Geared to be an informative event, it is a first of its kind and will include:

ACOTEX 2015 will be held in Malaysia’s premier exhibition venue – PWTC Kuala Lumpur and probed to be an annual event. ACOTEX is a signature event by ASEAN Co-operative Organization(ACO).
As a prominent location in Kuala Lumpur, PWTC, is the best location to host such a massive event that will feature many opportunities and information. ACO together with Red Jacket Events Sdn Bhd will provide the platform for the ASEAN co-op and businesses to showcase their products and services thus aggressively and proactively boosting the economy.

As the organizer and the principal management team of this event, the organizers intend to generate a high impact and mass attractions, promote businesses and co-op activities, expanding a range of advertising and promotion strategies, seek potential sponsorships, grants and partners in executing ACOTEX 2015 event.
ACO & Red Jacket Events Sdn Bhd will collaborate with private organizations in ensuring appropriations, media relations and presentations of attractions for the entire event. ACOTEX is estimated to generate and increase import/export of goods and services and an increase of co-operative members.
In essence, ACO pursues the intention to facilitate the achievement of ASEAN’s objective as stated in the Bangkok declaration on 8 August 1967. It came about with aspirations for the world of co-operatives in the ASEAN landscape; it aims to improve the cooperation amongst ASEAN co-operative bodies. Additionally, it aspires to enhance the growth and development of co-operative activities in the region, through joint ventures and collaborations. By and large, ACO is set to establish relationships with international organizations and countries that share the same objective and vision.
ACO’s vision encompasses creation of an integrated network of ASEAN co-operatives which will provide a leverage to enabling members of ASEAN to obtain higher income which will proliferate a more prosperous and sustainable community of shared geographical landscape. Strength in this will induce better health outlook bringing about improvements particularly in education of the co-operative community members of ASEAN who can integrate and engage in the shared vision of sustainable environment. The composition of ACO comprise APEX members such as ANGKASA (Malaysia), DEKOPIN (Indonesia), NATCCO (the Philippines), SNCF (Singapore), CLT (Thailand), BINA (Brunei Darussalam) and VCA (Vietnam). Non-APEX members include Cambodia, PDR (Laos), Myanmar and Timor-Leste.

WHAT IS ACOTEXACOTEX is a unique three days event of Trade Exhibition, Conference and Gala Night & Award Presentation with special performance and personalities from across ASEAN.
ACOTEX is an initiative by ACO to establish a platform to promote the significance of the co-op movement within ASEAN. ACO has recognised the importance for co-op and businesses to work together towards achieving greater heights and widening horizon. In the era of globalisation, one must remain relevant and competitive thus preparing for the implementation of AFTA.
ACOTEX mission to promote ASEAN’s export has enabled many local companies to carve new frontiers in global markets. Today as we continue to put the spotlight on capable ASEAN companies and co-op on the international stage, we are helping make the phrase ‘Made-In-ASEAN’ synonymous with excellence, reliability and trustworthiness. In preparation for this, ACOTEX was born to further contribute towards connecting ASEAN community. Currently, there are 2 platforms offered:

• ACO Online Services:Another ACO initiative is the ACO Website which is meant for co-operatives and members to do business matching via online. Co-operatives and businesses will be able to promote their products and services to other co-operatives and businesses in ACO member countries. ACO will be a platform for co-operatives and businesses to go global and members will be able to check for business opportunities or to find investors from ACO website.

ACO proceeds to look into a bold future by presenting what is set to be an annual key event – ACOTEX 2015. This is a unique event specially inspired by the President to foster the development of business & commerce between ASEAN members. Crafted to be an informative event, it is a first of its kind and will include trade exhibition, conference, gala dinner and award presentation. A culmination of great think-tanks put together alongside careful planning, and with much anticipation plus the works-behind-the-scene that took place tantamount to the event, ACOTEX 2015 is making its way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for four (4) days scheduled to take place from 15 – 18 October 2015.
ACOTEX 2015 is a signature event by Asean Co-operative Organization (ACO) in which its aspiration is to foster lifelong partnerships, promote progress and strengthen the bond between the participating countries. Ultimately, the vision is to create an integrated ASEAN’s network of co-operatives. Jointly organized by Red Jacket Events Sdn Bhd, ACOTEX 2015 will be held for four (4) consecutive days at Malaysia’s premier exhibition venue – Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) with a line-up of interesting programmes aimed at bringing together the best co-operatives and industry partners from the South East Asia region under one roof showcasing their best products in addition to sharing their best practices. Targeting 80,000 attendees, 400 exhibitor booth participants, 600 conference participants and 1200 pax for the award Gala Dinner, this four-day fair encompasses exhibitions, conferences as well as the pinnacle of it; a Gala Dinner marking ACOTEX 2015 drawing its final curtain.
ACO together with Red Jacket Events Sdn. Bhd. will provide the platform for ASEAN co-operatives and businesses to showcase their products and services thus aggressively and proactively boosting the economy.
Among the programmes lined up include exhibitions which boast 400 exhibitor booths in total, bringing about ASEAN Co-operatives, Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) and Public Limited Companies (PLCs), financial institutions and businesses from across the region meant to encourage inter-region trade.
Additionally, conferences featuring reputable speakers and outstanding sponsors are also part of the program line-up in which it serves as a platform for ACO members to share their thoughts and most current best practices, products and services for the benefit of all participants. The height of the event as a finale marking the closing of ACOTEX 2015 is the Gala Dinner in which it will have an amalgamation of different performances from participating countries of the region.
The best performance will be awarded that night hence the anticipation builds! Last but not least, the dinner will draw the curtain for ACOTEX 2015 with a prize-giving ceremony for the most outstanding participant, followed by an award ceremony to announce the Best CEO of Cooperative and the Best CEO of GLC. etc
