THE CHALLENGE

Compal is aware that it is not only innovation in

its products but the right people that make the

real change in organizations.

In 2006, Compal invited Jason Associates to do a

Talent Hunt in Marketing Departments of 14

FMCG companies in order to identify potential

talent to integrate the company.

OUR APPROACH

Jason Associates approach was based on

identifying every professional in the marketing

department of each of the 14 companies.

Through a brief interview and references from

opinion leaders, Jason identified the “stars”-

most promising talent and receptivity of each

one of them of integrating Compal.

THE RESULTS

The Talent Hunt helped Compal understanding

how the marketing department of each

company was structured and the benchmark for

the different roles. Jason also presented a

findings report about the receptivity and image

of Compal and each one of the chosen

companies in the market. This study was

important for Compal to understand the main

issues on becoming competitive and interesting

to integrate.

Founded in 1952, Compal started by

concentrating itself in the tomato industry and

later on progressing to new business areas.

Performing in a demanding market, Compal has

focused its activity on quality production, an

omnipresent objective in the company's

development. Concentrated on the rigorous

concerns of the initial board of directors formed

by a group of farmers, this constant search for

quality was the key for attracting capital of

several important landowners in the region,

providing the required initial consistency in the

company's management.
