EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT Representing the 500 million citizens of the European Union, this Parliament plays an active role in drafting legislation, including consumer rights and the free movement of workers, capital, services and goods. A thoroughly insightful visit which includes an introduction by a Parliament official and groups may be able to observe MEP debates from the visitor gallery.

EUROPEAN COMMISSION At the heart of the European Union’s policy making process, the European Commission proposes legislation, manages and executes Union policies and international trade relationships. Your students will leave this visit with an understanding of how representatives from each of the 27 member states come together

as one to discuss and decide on matters of international importance.

COCA-COLA EUROPEAN VISITOR CENTRE Take a guided tour to learn about the foundations of Coca-Cola, from the choice of products offered and the people that work there, to the responsibilities and issues that the company must consider. Your group will tour the production and distribution departments and leave with a clear understanding of the production process.

PORT OF ANTWERP The port of Antwerp, is the maritime gateway for import and export in Belgium and, as a visit for students, enables them to learn about the port’s infrastructure and the economic importance it has within its home country and beyond.

This tour will showcase the lockage, container terminal, steel terminal and exhibition hall.

ANTWERP DIAMOND MUSEUM As a global diamond centre, 50% of the world’s consumption of diamonds goes through Antwerp. Business focused tours can be arranged and students can learn about the economic impact diamonds have had on the region.

AUDI FACTORY This tour will include a short video presentation detailing the mass production of the cars, a visit to the showroom and the factory floor. The group will see how robots assemble the coachwork, as well as the mechanics process and how the upholstery is made.

CHOCOLATERIE DUVAL An excellent tour which includes an explanation on the origin of chocolate and the chocolate making process. All the steps in the manual production of chocolates are performed in front of your eyes.

LA BOLSA (STOCK EXCHANGE) This guided tour of the Barcelona Stock Exchange includes an introductory film and a tour of the “ring” or trading floor. The working of the stock exchange will be explained to students followed by a questions and answers session.

BODEGAS TORRES (WINERY) Groups can learn how this famous winery combines the thousand year tradition of wine making with modern technology.
