Tons of work goes into designing trails, acquiring

the right of way and building each trail (we shouldn’t

forget maintenance of the trails!). Projects are being

completed all around our community, and with

support and financial help from trail advocates,

local and federal sources and many more. Thanks

to all who participate in these efforts! Here are some

of the major projects for 2015:

Southeast: New trails on Hanna Street, Oxford

Street, and near Renaissance Point. (Thanks to

City of Fort Wayne and southeast neighbors and

supporters.)

Southwest: More trails happening on Illinois and

West Hamilton Roads. (Thanks to Cityof Fort Wayne,

Allen County and southwest trail supporters ).

Northwest: Many parts of the Pufferbelly Trail are in

progress, and new trails from Carroll Road to the

Life Bridge Church Trailhead. (Thanks to Fort Wayne

Trails donors, and Life Bridge Church and City of

Fort Wayne).

Northeast: New trail on Maplecrest Road. (Thanks

to City of Fort Wayne).

Waynedale: New trail connection off Lower

Huntington Road. (Thanks to City of Fort Wayne

for funding and the Waynedale community for

supporting this effort).

East: Realignment of the Maumee Pathway

at Lakeside Golf Course. (Thanks to City of

Fort Wayne).

DONATE: Help build the trails. We hope to reach 100 miles

by 2017, and need your participation. Please support

the trails. Every donation makes a difference.

VOLUNTEER: Help plan community events, fund raise, and

spread the word about trails. Want to join in?
