Ungaran Sari Garments collaborated with the Semarang
District Level Health Office organizing “Family Planning
Program Safari (KB Safari)” in all units (Ungaran,
Congol, Pringapus) in December 2018. A total of 48
employees participated in this program.
Family Planning Program Safari is a free contraceptive
service from the government to control the population.
There are several types of contraceptive methods used,
including pills, IUD, injectables, implants, and others.
KB Safari has been implemented since 2016 and so far
a total of 263 employees have actively participated in
the program.
We are proud to be part of Indonesia’s national family
planning program.

Blood Donation Humanitarian Program
In commemoration of AIDS World Day, Ungaran Sari
Garments organized a blood donation program 3
weeks in a row in December 2018.
This humanitarian program successfully collected 752
blood bags, 60 of which came from new donors. We
are grateful that the donors are encouraged to
voluntarily donate their blood for humanitarian
purposes.
The socialization has been continuously done with
our employees in order to make this routine
humanitarian program successful. We organize the
blood donation program a minimum of 3 times per
year.

Greetings from the Chairman…
The year-end moment is a great moment to reflect
on our a achievements and accomplishments and
to learn from our roller coaster lives, both business
and personal. It motivates us to challenge
ourselves for the new year ahead.
This bulletin edition highlights our factory programs
and activities in order to engage the employees, to
sustain our environment, and to be part of
community care values we hold dear.

As seen on the left picture, our Chairman, Mr. Maniwanen, together with representatives from the employees and the
union, handed over a symbolic check for the Lombok donation totaling 1 billion rupiah to Red Cross Indonesia, which
was received by Mr. Ginandjar Kartasasmita, the Executive chairman of Red Cross Indonesia. On the right picture,
one of our directors, Mr. Pong Nugroho, together with the representatives from the employees and the union, handed
over a symbolic check for the Sulawesi relief effort which totaled over 1.5 billion rupiah.

Ungaran Sari Garments Awarded as the Best Practice of Breastfeeding Facility
Better Work Indonesia awarded Ungaran Sari Garments Congol unit as the Best Practice of Breastfeeding Facility. We
are thrilled to receive this acknowledgement. Not only have we provided the facility but also supported the
implementation program of breastfeeding through our campaign, training, and policy for all workers to breastfeed their
newborns until 6 months.
The representative of Better Work Geneva, Ms. Claire Anholt Duthuit, together with the representatives of Better Work
Indonesia, Ms. Aprilia, Ms. Pipit Savitri and Mr. Feri Latief, visited Ungaran Sari Garments Congol unit. In this visit they
also produced a short movie to be used as a campaign role model for other companies who have not implemented the
breastfeeding facility program.
In recent times, two massive quakes hit eastern areas of Indonesia. First hit was Lombok, which was effected with
destructive impact in late July 2018. Secondly, a tsunami, which was triggered by a massive quake, struck Central
Sulawesi in the end of September 2018. Thousands of people died and lost houses.
Ungaran Sari Garments, under the holder company, Busana Apparel Group, initiated a donation to help victims in the
recovery phase.
These donations were voluntarily collected from our employees, the management, and also the buyers and suppliers
of Busana Apparel Group. Hopefully we can help the victims through Red Cross Indonesia in the recovery phase thru
the disaster relief program.

Ungaran Sari Garments’ Music Festival
Ungaran Sari Garments hosted a music festival as part of employee engagement program. The event was held as an
appreciation for all employees for their hard work along the year and to motivate them for the next challenge in the upcoming
year. The event was a blast! The total of 7,000 employees in Pringapus unit excitedly participated in this event with the
theme of “Complete our journey successfully and rising to the next year challenge.” Some of the employees performed their
talents in singing or dancing. In addition, the management invited a stand-up comedy group “Pan9ben”. To appreciate and
encourage the employees, the management awarded an appreciation certificate to those who accomplished great work
achievements for the year of 2018.
Fire Drill Evacuation Training
Fire drill evacuation training was held in Pringapus and
Ungaran unit in December 2018.
It aimed to give adequate training in fire fighting and
evacuation procedures. In collaboration with the fire
fighting unit in Semarang regency,
Ungaran Sari Garments demonstrated evacuation
procedures as well as procedures to put out fires.
Commemoration of AIDS World Day 2018
Ungaran Sari Garments collaborated with the National
AIDS Commission to organize a training and
socialization of AIDS prevention on the AIDS World Day,
December 1. At the same time, we donated boxes of
milk powder and nutritious food to be distributed to
babies and children infected with AIDS.

One Employee, Two Trees Program
Ungaran Sari Garments donated 325 tree seeds (mahogany trees, trembesi,
terminalia catappa and coconut trees) for a greenery program held in
collaboration with the Indonesian Army (TNI Yonkav 2/TC Ambarawa 2) in
Semarang city. This event was held on October 20, as part of our ongoing efforts
to sustain the environment.
CGPL – Celebrating 2 years of togetherness & Awards for
Best Line Performance, Leading Best Line for Quality and
Best Employee
Century Garments PLC celebrated its two year anniversary on November 21 in
Hawasa, Ethiopia. The management and all employees gathered to celebrate
their achievements in the past two years as well as to appreciate the teamwork.
As to encourage and motivate the employees to give their best work
performance, the management of Century Garments PLC gives an appreciation
certificate monthly for the Best Line Performance, Leading Best Line for Quality,
and Best Employee.
In addition to certificates, the employees received presents in a simple
ceremony. Such appreciation hopefully will encourage employees to stay
motivated and perform the best in their job. Keep up the good work team!
